WE DO OUR PART



It was shining then there was rain , then a mix of both from September the 12th until the 20th of the same the color guards of the Pentahlon deportivo Militarizado Universitario of North America , in Portland Oregon took part in the bicentennial celebrations of the Mexican independence and the centennial of the revolution, our fist event was on September 12th in Woodburn Oregon by invitation of the city . Our second year participating in “Las Fiestas Patrias” of the same city, our members carried and honored the US flag  and song the national anthem, that was followed by honors to the Mexican colors carried by the proud officers and cadets of the north American Pentathlon ,with Pride and a martial pace 3th officer Hugo Gonzalez presented the Mexican colors to the General Consul in Oregon Enrique A. Romero Cuevas ,representing the Mexican government and giving the historical “Grito de Dolores” ,that was first given by Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla in 1810 ,giving beginning to the struggle for the independence of Mexico from the Spanish crown, from “O say can you see”, to “Mexicanos al grito de Guerra “and giving way to “VIVA MEXICO”, from Woodburn on September 12th to Portland on September 15th and finalizing on September the 20th in Hillsboro Oregon, our officers and cadets honored our flags and gave  historical solemnity to 200 years of Independence celebrated by Mexican Americans in the state of Oregon ,and across the united States.
